 Knox Technologies was originally founded by Denny Alford, who grew up entrenched in technical and technology related pursuits. His previous career involved 23 years in the Design and Construction Engineering Department of Williams Gas Pipeline (Texas Gas). After 23 years in a broad range of engineering support and management roles, he made the decision to capitalize on a voluntary severance incentive from his employer's workforce reduction process. His previous professional activities provided the knowledge, wisdom, insight and desire to develop a new company. The new company would provide innovative and efficient bridges between numerous related and interdependent technical and technological services. Growth in technology resource consulting, technical service contracts, executive management services, and placements of contracted technical/engineering personnel resulted in significant growth of the operation. The 7 year old company now provides innovative and efficient bridges for a wide range of A/E/C and general business clients.
How we came to focus on technology:
After establishing Knox Technologies in January of 2000, Alford recognized that there were far more relative and feasible business opportunities than he alone could address.
 Alford brings experience from personal and professional technology activity. His involvement progressed from commercial and industrial electrical contracting, design of commercial and industrial monitoring and control systems, supervision, management and professional recruiting. He also has experience at the corporate level with assessment, through implementation of advanced document management processes.
Throughout his professional career, Alford had become personally acquainted with a number of other professionals in related areas of service. He further appreciated the knowledge, experience and work ethic the others possessed. The comprehensive knowledge represented by these individuals would provide a natural complement and a formidable competitive edge for the firm. |
